Here's a Toast!

There’s really no reason a drink has to be special. All that matters is that you enjoy and it tastes good. But of course we love excuses to gather with friends and enjoy a special drink together; whether it is a birthday, anniversary or a Wednesday night — we love a good drink.

And with school starting back soon we’re sure you could use a drink yourself. Below are some great end of the summer libations for you to enjoy served up nice and chilled in some of our favorite drinkware.

Try the Watermelon Agua Fresca:

  • 5 cups of watermelon (no seeds)
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tbsp of sugar or agave (or to taste)
  • 2 squeezed limes
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Puree all of the ingredients together in the blender for a nice refreshing and healthy treat. If you want to kick it up a notch add 1.5 oz of vodka per serving!  And you know what makes this drink even more special? Those fabulous Emerson Wine Glasses that we gave away yesterday for Prop Closet Tuesday!

If you aren’t into watermelon then you might like this refresher instead:

Simple Summer Limeade

  • 3 limes
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 2 quarts cold water or soda water

Squeeze the limejuice into a two-quart pitcher. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Then fill the pitcher with the water or soda water. Garnish with a lime wedge. This limeade recipe would be perfect for our Simone Glassware.

How are you enjoying the last days of your summer?
