Go Gourmet This Mother's Day!
posted by Josh on | 3 Comments - Post a comment
Mother’s Day is fast approaching, and if you’re lucky it means BREAKFAST IN BED!

There’s nothing cuter (or more precarious!) than a kid tottering Momward with a tray laden with breakfast goodies and a card for Mother’s Day. The Cute Factor is what wins the day — not the bowl of cheerios or slice of toast topped with the requisite Mother’s Day strawberry jam.

But, if your kids are past the cute stage, or Dad has culinary aspirations, you might consider sharing this little Mother’s Day Brunch menu with them. I guarantee you’ll enjoy it more than toast!

Pancakes with Panache
Pancakes are easy enough for Mom’s Day, but consider adding a special touch. You can do that with tasty ingredients, like in these Orange Ricotta Pancakes, or with technique, like these Heart Shaped Pancakes. Either way, the extra effort is a nice touch.

Serve your pancakes in style on our Riverstone Dinnerware.

Super-Simple Mini Quiches
I called these super cuties “Breakfast Cupcakes” when I made them for Kitchen Mischief, but they’re essentially mini quiches. Featuring a crispy, meaty crust and a cheesy filling, they’re a nice savory addition to your menu!

Mimosa, or Mom-osa?
If you’re not big on morning cocktails, go with fresh-squeezed OJ. But if you don’t mind a little morning buzz, mimosas are DIVINE. Have Dad mix up this special Mom-mosa: Fill a glass half full with cold orange juice, follow up with champagne or prosecco, then top with a splash of pomegranate juice. You must get your antioxidants, after all!

Skip the tipping hazzard of a champage flute and sip from our Salud Glassware.

Round out the meal with a simple fruit salad, and you have a tasty Mother’s Day Brunch that you’ll brag to the other moms about! ;)

TIP:
Pick a sturdy tray with nice tall walls if you want to ensure you're eating your Mother's Day Breakfast, not wearing it! LOL! Serve safely, or simply eat in peace with our Allegria Serving Tray.

Happy Mother’s Day, everyone!

My mouth is watering already! Gonna make sure my hubby knows about those "Momosas"! Thanks for the post, I think my boys could handle the "breakfast cupcakes" too.
I wish I lived closer to your kitchen! I think I will print out a few recipes and 'casually' leave them where my husband will find them . . . I think opening up his laptop and tucking them inside is a good option ;) Thanks Josh!
I'm printing the recipe for the breakfast quiches and handing it to my kids "hint" :) Maybe they'll surprise me!
