Prosecco and popsicles? You had me at prosecco!

Let's say you're having a party and you really want to impress your guests? Maybe you want to add a classy touch? I love serving prosecco...but serving it in a chanpagne flute? Soooo 2011 people! That's why this perfect combination of class meets casual — the PROSECCO popsicle! It's the easiest dessert ever:

Step 1:
Pick out your favorite brand of prosecco/champagne and popsicles.

Step 2:
Find some snazzy short glasses and a pretty tray (we used our Salud Goblets and Dress-Me-Up Glass Platter).

Step 3:
Lay the popsicles in the glasses with the popsicle stick sticking out.

Step 4:
Pop open your bubbly and pour it over the popsicles just before you serve for the fizzy effect and watch your guests get extremely excited!

The beauty of this culinary creation is that it doesn't require any mad kitchen skills. If you can handle opening a bottle of bubbly and a box of popsicles, you can pull this off.

But if you're like me and you aren't afraid to experiment, you can make your own popsicle treats like my friend Matthew from Kitchen Mischief did. He made a Triple-Berry Chocolate Mint and a Strawberry-Basil Lime — check 'em out here!

Of course, not everyone has a popsicle machine, but you can still have some fun with this idea. Here's a few ideas for poppin' this idea up a notch.

Caribbean Creamsicle
Instead of processo, mix up some pineapple juice and coconut rum. Dunk in store-bought orange creamsicles for a island-inspired treat!

Black & White
Mix up a white or black russian (milk, vodka, coffee liqueur) and invite chocolate and vanilla popsicles to the party for a doozy of a dessert.

Tutti Fruitti
Mix up your favorite margarita on the rocks, then give it a stir with your favorite whole-fruit popsicle. It's a good way to add a little sweetness to the normally tart cocktail.

No matter what fun concontion you mix up, be sure to serve it in our Salud Glasses — these springtime treats are way too classy for a red Solo cup! Have a great weekend, and have fun mixing up some frosty cocktail treats!

Not quite 7am here . . . hmmm too early for a Prosecco PoP? Friday can be considered 'the weekend', right? See how I rationalize. Thanks Josh, This is a perfect warm weather and/or party treat!
Thanks for the fun & sporty treat idea! TGIF!
Oh Yum! Or is that Yum-O! I was ready for these as of this morning (it's 5 o'clock somewhere at any time of day!)
This is the perfect touch for our family Easter gathering and egg hunt this Saturday afternoon! We're doing family BBQ -- rather than a traditional Easter meal this year!
LOVE! I can not wait to try the Creamsicle one! Can't wait for the warm weather and our backyard pool gatherings. That is going to be this years summertime desert!
YUMMY!!!
All I can say is YUM!!!
Yum!!! I would love a proseco pop right now :) The dress-me-up glass platter is always a crowd pleaser. I love how it changes its appearance when you simply attach a fun ribbon to it.
