I would fill it with tulips for Easter :)
Its always hurricane season at Willow House! I love the Hawthorne Hurricane because it can work in both a traditional or contemporary setting. For Mardi Gras I would surround a candle with purple, green and gold beads and add a feather mask around the outside. For spring, I would turn it upside down and use it as a cloche to cover a birds nest or other springy vignette, tying a bow around what is normally the base, maybe even adding a candle on the flat top.
So versatile! can see it dressed up for Spring. Love the Hawthorne Hurricane.
Bought this and loved it so had to get a second one. Use them together on long table/candles and trimmings. Even separate them and switch them in different areas of the house. So versatile. Love them!!
Also think of uses in your kitchen. I have used it for parties to layer fruits, chips, pretzels. Think outside the box.
Instead of a registry at my daughter's wedding, guests are signing in on blank cards. I'd use this for the vessel to hold the cards. I'd decorate around the base with peach and royal blue tulle to match her wedding colors.
Would love to get this as an anniversary gift to my parents!!! They are celebrating 40 years of marriage. :)
I am getting ready for spring!! I am planning to use this in place of the hurricane I broke this weekend while spring cleaning-it will look great!

This piece is so classic! I can imagine this filled with White or Yellow Tulips on my dining room table!
This would look fresh and bright filled with lemons.
My other hurricane (the Hemingway) is lonely and needs a friend. I'd love to have the Hawthorne to A) cheer up Hemingway and B) so I can conduct hurricane-decorating contests at my home decor parties!
I love, love, love Hurricanes. The first job this baby would have would be to serve up our Easter fruit salad, but then Mrs. Hawthorne could retire to the master bath to enhance the spa setting... a few smooth stones in the bottom (with or without sand)and a lovely scented candle dropped in, and she's setting the relaxing mood for us all.
Our beautiful Hawthorne Hurricane... love the sleek and sophisticated look! For a simple look simply line the hurricane with a beautiful piece of coordinating paper for your room. Makes it so easy to change your look without a lot of cost. Willow House Simply Good Design

Omgoodness, I love, love, love this hurricane!!! I was just watching HGTV and they were giving tips on filling a space w/o it looking like a big mess. They said that u should go w/less is more and one of the suggestions was to use a hurricane base for volume but not looking overly crowded or overdone. I have the perfect place for this so, let's get this drawing rolling!!! Can't wait!!! :-)
Wow, that's gorgeous! I love it!
This is one of the most versatile pieces in our collection. I would keep this on the sideboard in the hallway so it would be one of the first things you see when entering the front door. This could be decorated for every season and look stunning!
I love the clean lines of Hawthorne. Beautiful used as a decor item with flowers or since it is food safe...and it is Fat Tuesday just fill it with lots of chocolate. This piece could also be used as a small punch bowl. I would love to have this piece.
Very pretty!!
Although I could use a cold hurricane about that tall right now, it's more likely that I would fill the vase with the marbles that have fallen out of my head this afternoon. LOL... thanks for the chance to win.

For more than just drinking out of. There are lots of ways to decorate this. Fill it with confetti for each holiday and add a bow to the bottom. Love this piece!
This is one of my favorite products and if I won I would give it to my next hostess because it has so many uses. I love it for layered veggies. Use a long fork and your guests will dive right in for that crisp healty goodness. Of course the dip you will serve with it will take some of the "healthy" away.... It's wonderful with dried beans or peas and filled with a large candle; and of course it makes a fabulous vase. It holds a dessert of layered puddings and goodies or even a banana split, family style can be served in this great hurricane, and it always looks so pretty!
I love hurricanes! It's like the "little black dress" that every girl must have. I would use this at my parties to demo how versatile this beautiful product is..
The ideas are truly endless for this awesome hurricane. I'll take a different route and serve up a salad in a fresh new way. Fill it with layers of spring mix lettuces, strawberries, kiwi, mandarin oranges, a bit of red onion slivers for "bite", feta cheese crumbles and toasted slivered almonds. Sprinkle it with raspberry vinaigrette dressing, serve it up with tongs and you've got a salad that doubles as a centerpiece!
I would love to have this hurricane. I would fill it full of flowers for my kitchen.
I see it filled with pastel blown eggs
Love this. I am having a bridal shower for my best friend. I would fill it with beautiful flowers and use it for my centerpiece. Tulips would be perfect in it.
I'm thinking some Easter grass and some beautiful eggs would like very nice in this...or maybe just some tulips to remind me that spring is just around the corner!
Fill it with LOVE.......
I have only 1 of these and definitely could use more of them! I use them for EVERY tablescape I decorate! They can be decorating fun or elegant. Definitely a Must have!
Love this hurricane, it would look great at my house.
My Hawthorne Hurricane would never be put in a corner! I would keep it out ALL YEAR! From jelly beans around a glass with flowers inside to Hurricanes on Fat Tuesday. From river rocks, moss and shells from my vacations to Christmas balls. Every holiday and occasion BIG and SMALL would be celebrated in and with my Hawthorne Hurricane.
I love it with the Tulips, but it can hold things as well, pencils, brushes, hair bands, how about candles...with coffee beans, or m&m's three different colors....I like using all of our glass hurricanes on my mantel with christmas balls, eggs, candy...so many choices.
Love the Hawthorne!!!
I like it just how you've photo'ed it--with springtime blooms. And with spring around the corner ...

This hurricane is awesome....and I don't have it! This is such a versatile "must have" piece. I would use this beautiful item as a revolving center piece. In the spring I would fill with hand dyed colorful Easter eggs, change to bright tulips in the spring. Arrange lovely sunflowers for the summer and replace with seashells in the fall to remind me of the beach and the promise of sunny days to come. Perhaps the best of all would be the Christmas center piece! The beautiful hurricane would turn into a lovely holder of silver tinsel and bright covered ornaments, with a few fresh sprigs of fresh holly leaves! For New Years, I would opt for something more sexy and romantic and fill this lovely must have with strings of pearls. A Hawthorne Hurricane with endless possibilities.
Hurricanes serve so many purposes - but regardless of use, they are always the main attraction! I can't wait to make this the centerpiece at my next dinner party - perhaps filled with a tasty treat known as "sin in a bowl" or "death by chocolate"!
I put this light blue seashell collection mixed with white potpourri in mine - perfect since I live near the beach!
Beautiful piece! I am thinking it will look good as a centerpiece on my table. I'll be thinking of ways to decorate it while we wait for the winner to be announced.
Huricanes in all sizes are perfect to use for ice cream socials. Fill with rounded scoops of ice cream to the top, put in freezer, and when the company comes, serve each ball in small bowl with toppings. Already made up, no mess, and they look beautiful with different colors and flavors.
This would look fabulous with easter grass and easter eggs.
This is one piece you just can have one of... I'd fill one with apple for my kitchen, have one in the family room with a layer of sea shells and a picture of my beautiful grand children and another for a fabulous gift. I love it! just saying..
Just another one of the many many fabulous Willow House items a must have I have been wanting this
Love this hurricane! I want to use it at my nieces wedding in May.

Love love love it i love to decorate for fall and it would ne so pretty with my fall decor.
What a great mardi gras event. I love this hurricane. I hope to win
I would use this hurricane on my snack table when hosting a Willow House party and place tall breadsticks in it.
I would love to have another hurricane glass to decorate with!
I will put daffodils in this gorgeous vessel...I have tons in my yard and am always looking for the perfect vase.
Love, love, love this!!! I could do so many different things with this! For Easter I would put cute little Easter eggs in it =)
Beautiful Hurricane! Love it!
Love the elegant simplicity of this piece! Very versatile. Thanks for the opportunity.
I would put this on my mantle and fill it with different items all throughout the year.
I would love to win this for my wife. She is so amazing and loves willow house products
I say make it a hurricane and add 8 straws for my friends!
So many uses for this little lady! Try putting river rock on the bottom with a special photograph standing upright on the rock. It's a beautiful way to showcase those special pictures!!!
I love this piece because of it's versatility. With Easter on its way that would be the first of many holiday's to decorate it for, colored eggs, daffodils, Easter lily's, my thoughts are endless. I hope I win. Thanks
And one of the pieces I don't yet have.....but would mix and match well....with anything!
I would fill it with spring flowers, or use it to hold some family pictures with sand on the bottom. Beautiful!
I hope its not to late to enter. I used my Hurricane for a science project for the kids to grow aliens and when I went to clean it :(( I broke it! So sad now and would love to win this one.
I will be adding rice and a pillar candle in it as a center piece in the church entry way at my nieces wedding. Very simple yet beautiful.
Well, if my Willow House friend didn't share already, there are loads of ideas in my head for this piece, but I think hers is one of the best - get a simple "etching" kit and put the wedding couples initials on it. Now for my continuation of the idea... Put beautiful flowers in it for the wedding and then whatever their heart desires after the wedding. Candles, more flowers, decorative balls or ornaments for any occasion - eggs for Easter, chocolate hearts for Valentines (with roses in the center of the chocolate of course using those individual stem/water containers), evergreen/holly/Christmas plants, fruit for a brunch, my goodness this piece has endless ideas. And I love to read all of yours... Thank U!
This hurricane with its straight lines is so very elegant! I love it with some red coral and a beautiful Beta swimming around peacefully in there. It makes a beautiful conversation piece!
I am new to WH but loving it. I have the best consultant! Loving all of the new items for my home. This hurricane is beautiful! xoxo
