When it comes to decorating, sometimes the smallest details make the biggest impact.

Petite, bite-size, adorable — there's a slew of adjectives that aptly describe the Amelia Thimble Domes. Last Valentine's Day, we had a little decorating contest to see who could come up with the cutest idea using them. I can't remember who won the contest ... oh wait, it was ME (and Celie)! I mean, the others didn't stand a chance against our sweet creations!

But when it comes to cute ideas, this one from the new spring catalog totally eclipses our sugary mischief.

Alison and crew tucked adorable keepsakes under the tiny domes, creating the most touching, meaningful vignettes. Seriously, this idea should go in the Guinness Book of World Records as The Cutest (and Tiniest) Idea in the World.

Take a peek at this quick clip of Alison telling Melanie all about it from the Simply Good Design Studio.

We all have those trinkets from the past, meaningful things that we don't want to part with, but can't figure out how to display. So go ahead, dig around in your drawers and in your closets, find those forgotten keepsakes, and turn them into a tiny, stylish vignette that makes you smile.

But wait — you need a little help, right? I mean, you simply must have some Amelia Thimble Domes to make this idea work. Well, OK — comment below and tell me what treasures you'd put under your tiny domes for a chance to win!

I have 3 children, so I would put their newborn pictures under each one!
I love these... great for near the sink for jewelry safe keeping too!
I think I would display my grandmother's wedding and engagement rings along with a picture of her. She left these to me when she died, and I hate that they are put away where no one can see. They don't fit my fingers for me to wear (plus I couldn't stand the thought if I ever lost them). What a perfect way to remember her and show off something that means so much to me!
They'd make SUPER cute place cards! I like those tiny photos tucked inside!
I can't wait to try them with Sara Blaine Jewelry, and then in the spring, use them in an Easter vignette for some tiny spring flowers!
Since Valentine's Day is approaching, I would first use it for special treats to be presented in them for my girls at breakfast that morning.
First I would put a small lace paper doily and add a homemade choc truffle for valentines day and then I would use to display antique thimbles or my grandmothers in two and a pix of her in the other
My baby's room on a shelf w/ framed handprint, letter block with first initial, and baby picture in another
I would put a picture of our baby's ultrasound in there...our tiny little miracle baby!
I have my grandmothers rosary made from my grandfathers funeral roses and her wedding band in my jewelry box and this will be a great way to put them out and keep them protected.
I'm thinking some moss and succulents would be just the look I'm going for.
I would put a picture of my mom who passed away 2 years before my wedding with a rose that I have have saved from my bouquet. 2 of the most important things in my life my wedding day and my mom together :)
Pictures of the grands! <3 <3 <3 <3
I would display my husband's college ring with mine in a dome because we met on the first day of college!
Since Valentine's Day is coming up, I would put a picture of my husband with a memento or two that I've saved over the 30 years we've known each other.
I love the sentimental ideas, but I'd probably use them for small desserts on special occasions.
Oooh how fun. I think these would be perfect for holding our Sara Blaine Treasures by the sink before washing our hands, but I love displaying tiny precious photos in them too. We have 3 sinks at our house, so 3 would be perfect! ;-)
oh gosh guys...this is a difficult one! I inherited my Grandmothers Spoon collection from her travels, and these would be perfect to showcase a few special ones on my buffet (adjacent to the others on the wall)
I would put the imprint of my sons had he made when he was in kindergarten many years ago. He's now 21 and in college, I miss him everyday. But looking at his print always brings a smile to my face.
I would use mine to display my Grandparents wedding photo. They have been married for 60 years. Proof that it can happen!
I have my grandfather's pocket watch and it would look perfect! He's been gone for almost 20 years now and it would be a great way to display something of his so that I could see it every day.
I LOVE the Thimble Domes....how can you not!! I would keep one on my entry way table with a seasonal decoration in it. One near the kitchen sink for my jewelry that comes off during cleaning. the last one I would keep on our dresser with a picture of us on our wedding day. my hubby loves our wedding day pic!!
I would put my grandma's badges from when she used to work at Campbell Soup! I just pulled them out of the drawer this week and was searching for a great way to display them!
I would put vintage hairclips and jewelry passed down to me by my aunt and a family friend.
I would surprise my 3 children on Valentine's Day morning w/little goodies at their place settings.
I know Christmas is over but what comes to mind is a very small nativity that my daughter made in preschool out of dough. It is so very precious to me and I don't usually display it for fear of it getting broken. The thimble domes would be perfect to display it in at Christmas.
I would put my mom's locket with pictures of my sister and I beside a picture of my mom.
My grandmother passed away on October 10, 2011. She was like a mother to me by teaching me how to cook, crochet, make candy and gingerbread men. If I was to win these lovely domes I will place the following inside: her cameo necklace and ring, her picture, and one of her handmade crochet doilies.
I would put an old photo of my grandpa with his sisters in there. His mischievous look matches the look of my son:)
I'd put my dad's watch, his baby and high school photo in the domes. It's been a week since he passed away and it would be a great way to remember him everyday.
I have a few miniature books that each contain one Shakespeare play. I could either stack a few of these books or display a couple pages within the domes and showcase them on one of my bookshelves.
My oldest daughter (13) has a tiny stuffed lady bug that I take with me whenever I travel...I would put "bug" under glass!
Great place for an engagement ring on Valentine's Day!
My Amelia Thimble Dome would include my Dad's sterling I.D. bracelet from high school that has my parent's names engraved and my mom's gold locket containing pictures of the two of them. Thanks for the opportunity to win P&P!
I have these tiny little bunnies that were my grandmothers. I would place them under there for Easter/Spring decor
I have the most adorable picture of my dad as a baby with my grandparents that would be perfect under a thimble dome. Love the great ideas!
I would use these little domes to make a larger glass center piece on my dinning room table. I could also use them to display place cards or even names od dishes. They are adorable!
Love this idea! Not only would flowers, candles, mini-cookies, or even garland look nice in there, I have some old rings from my grandmother who passed away along with one of her handkerchiefs be cool in there! Or possibly my great grandfathers spurs? I have a million ideas to change this for any given day!
Hang my parents wedding bands from the top like a bell
I love the ring idea. I'd use one by the bathroom sink where I always take off my rings. In the other two I'd display sentimental items in my home like my daughter's tiny hand print at 2 weeks old or my baby spoon.
I'd fill it up with fun little colorful bugs and toys for my son's birthday party. Great, fun little centerpieces.
I would display my Sara Blaine jewelry under several of them on my dresser, how cute!
I'll display a antique gold watch that belonged to my great grandmother on tp of a small piece of lace.
I would put a pic of my hubby & I sitting together when we were 8 years old under one ... Our wedding pic under another ... And a current pic of us together celebrating our 20th year anniversary. I hope I win! Can't wait to try this :)
In the immediate future I would use them to house a gorgeous chocolate covered strawberry for my husband on Valentine's day...I love the vintage photos under them for the off seasons.
One would hold a small picture of my grandma that passed away a few years ago who I adored, and the other would hold a few rose petals and on top of them would be her wedding set. Her name was Rose and loved roses and I can't think of a better way to keep her memory with me every day while I look at that. Plus she was a classy lady and these thimble domes would have been right up her alley!
I would put my grandmother's wedding ring with a tiny wedding picture of her along with the ring. It is a special treasure she left for me and I would love to showcase them in this darling fashion.
Can I make a list? My top choice would have to be a mini dessert. Yum!
I would use these adorable Thimble Domes to showcase my love for my 3 sons for Valentines Day! Each dome would showcase a favorite picture of each of the boys. How special they will feel! Mix them in with other Valentines decor and my holiday centerpiece will be original and complete!
The perfect place for a small votive candle for a candlelite dinner with that special someone...yours, the candle and at his seat ...the ring..will you marry me.
I would display keepsakes from when my daughter was a baby. First hair bow, first binkie, hospital bracelet, and maybe a wooden block. Would be adorable in her room and would always be a reminder of those little things after she has grown. <3
Well, my first immediate thought would be to use them at Sara Blaine Jewelry parties to display my rings! At home, I would put my sentimental Christmas ornaments in them. So many ideas and uses for these!
Love love love it! My grandfather's watch would look awesome here.
At a holiday table, I would put a tiny photo at each place setting. The photo would feature a special memory of each person. Maybe a baby picture or a wedding picture or even a special concert ticket stub. Talk about dinner conversation quarters!
I'd create mini vignettes. A petal from my wedding flowers, the sixpence from my shoe, a photo. My son's pacifier with a locket-sized photo. A tiny plastic dinosaur. My grandmother's sparkly earrings under glass, placed alongside a photo of her wearing them.
I have these tiny little dolls with pigtails that were my grandmother's. My sister had one and I had one. Now that my sister passed away, I have both of them. It is a good memory, but bittersweet.
I would use glue dots and hang some of the Sara Blaine jewlery inside the domes. Of course my favorite item under are mini tarts, and cupcakes and I call them cupcake cloches... a small bouquet of tea roses. Also perfect for a Alice in Wonderland Valentine tea, to put the different heart cards from a deck of cards with each persons name on the card as a place setting. Oh How Do I Love thee.. petite domes... Let me count the ways.....
I would put a picture of my dad and set it on my counter (bar) in the kitchen so I could see it all the time. He passed away last Feb 1st and I miss him. I have photos of him in college, with my boys, a wedding photo, so many that I can change it often
I would use these on my dresser to hold my favorite Sara Blaine jewels!
In keeping with Valentines Day. I would put a beautifl chocolate truffle under mine and serve it to my Valentine.
I would put my parents wedding picture and my wedding picture. Back to Back..you can see both as you move around it! Showcase the beauty of Family!
My first thought was my husbands Marine Corp picture & one of his more important medals but then I started wondering how it would look if I put a picture of each of my kids as babies with a lock of their hair which I have tied with ribbon in each one (3 of them total).
Oh wow ---- so many special little treasures and keepsakes in our home! I think I would change these out regularly --- maybe weekly, or at least monthly, so showcase and recall precious people and precious memories!
How adorable! I'm thinking it should have a a rose petal "bed" inside to put my wedding ring on at night. Along with my husbands!
I have a pocket watch that i got engraved for my husband on our 1st anniversary I would put in it. our 10 year is comming up in march and we now have 4 great kids I would add a picture of the family in it too. Our past and present together in one.
I have a wonderful old picture of my mom, and I think it would be beautiful with some of her vintage jewelry. I also have a great picture of my dad in his military uniform -- it would look neat with the stamp off the airmail letter he sent to my mom and their new daughter from the ship taking his unit to Germany. With both of my parent gone now, this would provide some great memories for my family.
I have a pocket watch that was my Poppy's and I've never had a great way to display it. I'd love to see it under the dome on my vanity.
I would use these on Valentine's Day and put a mini whoopie pie in each, one for every family member. In between holidays I would display the small vintage cookie cutters from my great grandmother.
These would be great for displaying photos of me and my loved ones! I am somewhat obsessed with pictures so this would be a great way to spice up my collection!!
probably old-tyme family pics that i just got, or something my kids made for me when they were little. I would have no trouble finding things.
A little green grass and some mini eggs or a little chick for spring!!
I like to line things up on my mantel, so I might display a row of thimble domes there, displaying something that I could change out with the seasons. Dogwood blooms in spring, shells in summer, tiny pumpkins/gourds in fall and a red glass ornaments for Christmas.
What an awesome way to display my grandmother's antique watch! And I do have an old picture of her from the 40's! I'm so excited to try this!!!! It'll be a real surprise when my mom sees it !! Ceci Triska
Special Anniversary time - I think my hubby needs to put that Past, Present & Future Anniversary ring under the dome for Valentine's Day!
My Grandmother just gave me a precious gift of my Great Grandmother’s wedding ring, a love letter from her husband that was written while in the war and a small mini bible that was my Great Great Grandmother’s that is in Polish with a drawing of her parents inside.
I would put old pictures of my grandfather from when he was in the war and his buttons from his jacket when he was in the war.
These are so delicate and beautiful! A precious pink or red rose bud is pretty underneath the dome, grouped around the trifle bowl filled with different colored candies or red hot cinnamon candies for Valentines! To top it off you can tie little red ribbon bows around the bell top. I would love another set!
I would put keepsakes from my twins as babies.....I have a foot imprint that would fit perfect!! Their feet were so bity.
I would display my grandmothers old jewelry or family pictures. I would also use them at breakfast for my children to put little notes of encouragement to get them through their day.
I loved hearing what Alison said about her idea in the catalog. I have a photo of my grandparents and my grandfather's wedding ring that I would love to display in the Thimble Domes.
I would put a picture of my grandmother and great aunt, along with my grandmother's watch.
I would definitely use these to put our grandparent's wedding day pictures in the domes around the cake table at our wedding in November!
These would be perfect for having a tea, to put little edible treasures under. They woud also be perfect for a little verse or phrase you want to remind yourself of. You could place them in different areas of the house. Or to keep little keepsakes to remind me of my Mom who passed a year and a half ago. There are so many ideas.
I gave a set to my daughter to display some antique ornaments. I love them for little girl tea parties! Everyone can use a set!
As each Holiday or special occasion came up, I would change out the domes to add something festive!
I would put my grandson Kyle's first pictures of haircut with a lock of hair to remember the day by. Or I have brooches from my great aunt that would look wonderful under the domes.
What a great idea . . . rather than having these keepsakes tucked away collecting dust . . . . hmmm . . . so many different ways to go with this one but one idea is to put a few domes on a ledge in my daughter's room with the footprint picture from the day she was born, her first little hat that she wore home from the hospital (so tiny), and maybe her little lock of hair with the ribbon from her first haircut . . . or her first pair of tiny shoes . . . so many things to choose from! Love this idea!
I would put my grandmothers watch-it is an amazing memory I have of her to remind me of the amazing woman she was and the many things she taught me. I would also put my wedding ring in it-it is a great place to set it at night on my night stand so little fingers don't play with it!
I would use mine for different seasons thru the year and especially petite desserts.
I would love to tuck some old black and white pictures inside the thimble domes. Such a cute idea and a very unique way to present something meaningful!
I would put these on the ledge of my kitchen sink window and put my rings in it when I take them off to cook.
These are so cute to put your child's tooth in for the tooth fairy! You can even leave a little note!
I would love to display some of the jewelry my husband has given to me over the years. Or I would love to put a little cupcake in it!
I would put baby pictures of my hubby and I as a display for our Valentines dinner and one of our kids...the greatest gift!
I would use them to put my father-in-laws leather infant gloves in. They are so interesting...I cannot imagine trying to get a tiny infants fingers into these tiny little gloves! It would be a cute way to display them.
I treasure my wedding ring and would put one dome by my nightstand and set my wedding ring in it each night!
I would use these for displaying seasonal scenes in the foyer! They are too cute!
I collect tiny tea sets. I think they would be beautiful beneath them, and my granddaughter could again say, "Ahma, that was the MOST fun day!" (the day we unpacked them) I also have some gorgeous stones with significance, they might glitter better under a few of these precious precocious domes.
I would use those tiny domes to display the miniature mouse collection that my dad bought for my mom (1 per year at the beginning of their marriage).
My great grandmother's gold thimble would be dispayed beautifully under this dome! She used it to make quilts for everyone she loved.
Well of course I think our Sara Blaine jewelry would look cute under them! But also some thimbles I collected overseas, or some cute little figurines I have for various holidays, or maybe my handpainted eggs I bring out at Easter :)
I would use them to display a couple of vacation photos for our foyer and put sand and shell on the middle one. Love the little domes...so fun!
I lost my dad when I was 11, but have his class ring and his airplane pin (he was a pilot). I would love to be able to display them and see them daily.
I own 2 sets of these: they are AWESOME! I use mine for special table settings - they're perfect for a chocolate dipped strawberry or truffle! I also use them to display a favorite holiday item - I filled them with miniature ornaments at Christmas! I can't wait to use them for Valentines Day. If I'm lucky enough to win, I would share that set with my sweet sister-in-law!
Beautiful with picture of my grandparents with keepsakes from each.
I would love to display my children's foot prints made in the hospital under neath two and then put their little hospital bracelet in one or maybe just a little picture of them. I can just see it now...a sweet little reminder of how little they were and how we need to treasure each day because they certainly are growing up so fast!
My sister-in-law and I are collecting these together to use for family gatherings. We hope to have enough for Easter dinner - to have a little something at each person's setting. Winning these would certainly help!
I love the idea of placing pictures under them!
I have some jewelry from a family member who passed that has such a sentimental place in my heart. This would be a perfect way to display those instead of keeping them locked away in a box unseen!
I have a miniature pocket knife that my godmother gave me! it would fit under the dome and that would also be a safe place to keep it - where I can also see it/and smile.
Oh, how adorable! My mom has some really special things that would be perfect ... the pin that all of us girls wore in our weddings and grandmas thimble.I would love to give her one of these for her birthday in February!
I have a VERY large family, and one photo of all the generations is just too much to take in. These would be great for displaying separate generations and households on the mantle.
I love the look of the photo in it...if I didn't use it for a photo I'd use it on my jewelry shelf to display some of my grandmothers precious jewelry pieces that were given to me.
Oh these are so pretty, I would put a photo of my five grandsons in there, my daughter is a photography and I can change there photo's monthly!! And somthing perfect and special should be in that and that would be the 5 grandsons!!
This would be great to use as a "past, present, and future" representation of a special person, wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend to show them how special they are. If you aren't married it would be awesome to show their past together, their present together and the in the last dome have the engagement ring in as the future together.
Its almost been two years since I lost my mother. I would put some of her keep sakes under them. Like her nurses pin and a small rosary. And since valentines day and was one of her favorite holidays we have lots of pictures of my kids when they were small giving her kisses. They would definately bring lots of love back to our home.
I'd put one on the kitchen window ledge for my precious Sara Blaine jewelry while I do the dishes!
Three children, three baby pictures, three domes!! What a perfect idea for above my sink window!
I have my father and grandfather's pocket watches that I've been searching for really nice decorative ways to display. These would be PERFECT !!
I would put a picture of my little girl in it with one of her baby shoes.
I would use these often for everyday use, but especially for Valentine's for those Special men in my life...Husband and Son :)
I love this idea!!! I have soooo many old and cherished photos that would look awesome in those!!!
each of my kid's first locket of hair--tied sweetly with a bow. i really DO still have them!!
I would put all of my shiny and interesting rocks/minerals from my rock collection in these (my hubby and I are both geologists and have a massive rock collection! lol). Right now, all of my small rocks are sitting in boxes because I have nothing pretty to display them in!
Nice way to show of my beautiful granddaughtes!!!!
I would put them on the dresser in my guest room and when my best friend (or whoever is visting at the time)put a picture of me with them. Like my bestfriend from HS our graduating picture.
I love, love, love the way you have displayed the vintage photo's! I have alot from my Grand & Great Grandparents...plus little trinkets of theirs & what-not's to add into them like you displayed the pocket watches! I would be elated to win these!!!
I still think the sweetest idea with these is to use them for the tooth fairy! Put the tooth under the dome at night, and voila` the next morning there is money where a tooth had been!
I love my Thimble Domes! I am constantly changing what it under them. My 2 year old daughter loves to help my with them. Right now, I would most definitely put Valentine's Day goodies to display.
I would give these to my freshman daughter to use to store/display her class ring along with some special things from my grandmother. They are just tooooo cute!!!
One of my fondest memories of my Grandmother from my childhood is that she wore jeweled sweater clips. As I grew into an adult, She also would give me pretty hankies and told me they were to make sure I always kept my "nose clean", not literally, but figuratively! When she passed away I only wanted one of these clips and one of her hankies. These I would lovingly and proudly display under the Amelia Thimble Domes.
Beautiful display for anything!
My daughter uses them for her dolls. She loves having a real "willow house" cake dime for her dolls! We made little felt cupcakes to go inside!
My granddaughter would love to play with these beautiful Thimble Domes. What a great way to teach her so many things by changing out with I place inside and letting her "find" it. Then when it's adult time, I would decorate with small candies or flowers. Love them!
I'd put my grandmother's brooch in one. Or I could put my mother-in-law's thimble and a wooden spool of thread. She was a fabulous seamstress!
I am placing a small photo of daughter and her fiancee' and a small heart locket and give to her for an engagement momento.
I would put some of my grandmother's jewelry.
I have my Mother's original wedding ring ( she got a bigger one after 25 years of marriage) and I would love to fix up something special to display it on under this cute little dome.
Grandmother's wedding band.
Our Amelia Thimble Domes are simply Adorable! A cute idea for Valentine's Day would be to decorate mini cupcakes and showcase them under our domes. Willow House Simply Good Design!
my daughter would love to put "fairies" in them, and my son would love to examine bugs and sticks and such. I'd put the carefully selected flowers, rocks, "stuff" they find for me on display. Beautiful, and would remind us all how much we're loved.
I would use the first one to display my Willow House Treasures Bracelet! I could bring these to my Willow House parties! The second one I would put a cameo necklace that has been passed down for 3 generations in my family.
My grandmother recently passed away. She loved to sew and made all of our clothes when we were young. I have her thimble she used for YEARs ( bent to fit her finger). I would put her thimble in one and my grandfather's watch in another.
A host of things come to mind - Dice at Bunco tables. Petite fours for baby showers. Fortune cookies stuffed with a name to make for a surprise place card holder. Small, battery operated strands of 15 mini lights for table lighting during the holidays or pretty colored oil beads bath side. Buttons in a nursery for color. Just some thoughts.
I want ther Amelia Thimble Domes to display my Daddy's Watch and his school photo when he was in the 8th grade. My Daddy passed away in 2001, My Mom just gave me these two items and they are very special to me!
My husband passed away. I would display our wedding rings together under the dome.
My daughters are very into fairies! I will surprise them with a dome and fairy on St. Patrick's Day!
I have some beautiful antique jewelry and make-up compacts that my dad FOUND using his metal detector over the years. I would love to display some of my special mementos from him in the domes.....plus, I wouldn't have as much trouble dusting my little treasures!! :)
To me the thimble domes are the perfect size to remember our smallest family members. After my cat died, I wore her rabies tags on a chain as a necklace. I would place those tags and a small photo of her under a thimble dome.
I love these and sold several at a Christmas bizarre. I put some angel hair and a small pine cone in them and they looked really cute. I would love to have some more of these.
I'm thinking about Easter all ready how about putting decorated eggs with the guest name sitting on a little nest of green grass as your place card at Easter dinner.
Alot of my family call me a pack rat, but I am a true sentinmental at heart. I have a old purse of my great grandmothers filled with trinkets. Some are precious to me, pocket watch, pipe my great grandfather smoked, silver baby spoons, new testament bibles, the first purse my mom every gave me. However, I have some "junk" jewerly that would be beautiful displayed or my first display would be a dried rose from my grandmothers grave and her tiny VERY inexpensive but oh so vauluable wedding rings tucked just inside the wrinkled petals.
my grandmothers thimble, needle and wooden spool of thread...super cute in a thimbledome...
This would be the perfect place for Tabitha (our tooth fairy) to replace my boys lost tooth with a special gift. Aka $$$!
I would add the "Something Old" bracelet my dear Grams gave me to wear at my wedding and then let me keep. I miss her so much!
I think I will let my kids create their own little snow globe like scenes with found objects and fimo clay. No shaking required to see the magic of creative young minds... And no threat of the cat disturbing the little masterpieces.
I would find an old family picture & give it to my aunt. She is our family historian & would appreciate this. But I can't pass up putting chocolate in one for myself! :)
Once again, this would be an item I would give away. This time, to my Dad. Before his parents passed away, some 20 years apart, each of them gave him (the youngest of 5 kids) their wedding ring. He also has my Pawpaw's old watch (you know the kind, the one with a chain that was carried in the pants pocket. He does have these items displayed, but certainly in nothing as nice as these items. My dad is now 75, and quite sentimental. He would love these items to nicely displayed these treasured timepieces. Thank you
I have the hair from my three boys' first haircuts tied in ribbons and I would put these under the domes!
I would get some of my Grandpa's pictures and letters of when he was in WWII with a little vintage-looking American flag and put them under the domes! :D
I would put some yummy chocolate truffles under them! I love those little domes!
These would look adorable in my room with some old vintage photos in them! I also have some cute old cameras and other decor that would look pretty as well!
OMG How cute are those!? I would use them to put one of each of the different type of cakeballs I am going to have at my wedding as a mini display :D
I love these precious little domes! I would place my Grandmother's pearl necklace in there and sit it on my nightstand. Elegant and sentimental!
Love the mini domes
I think these domes would be adorable to make about your children including precious baby items such as a lock of hair from their first haircut, their first baby teeth, etc.
I would display my Grandmother's rosary in it and then place the Amelia Thimble Dome next to a beautifully framed picture of her.
LOVE the Amelia Thimble Domes. I would love to bake and entertain. I would put some red cake balls and mini cupcakes in them to complete my Valentine's treats display.
I would use it to hold some of my mother in law's vintage jewelry, and some small lockets and family photos.
Love these perfect little gift with a keepsake
I would put some seashells from the beach and treasures from the Cape inside and place it at our summer home :)
My father passed away a little over a year ago so I think I would put his pocketwatch and a black and white photo of him in it.
Love these little cuties! I'm the mom of 4 (too) quickly growing children, so I'd use an Amelia Thimble Dome for each of them and make it a sort of rotating mini-display of their favorite things as well as little bits and bobs of things they've given to me through the years: bits of pretty paper folded into mini origami cranes, sweet little love notes, pretty shells from the beach, buttons, coins and , of course, pebbles (moms of boys, you know what I'm talking about)!
I would use them in my guest room to put a special treat under when guests are staying over. Maybe a sweet treat or a picture of the guest and our family to make them feel more at home. They could also be used at parties to display dates you have available for parties!
As you can see on MyStyleShare.com, I did the cutest thing at Christmas!!!! I filled the bottom of my thimble domes with faux snow and then placed cute little plastic deer from my 3 year-olds' tube of forest animals from a craft store in them to make them look like little mini snow globes! In one I also put a little plastic evergreen tree on the faux snow. They then went on my holiday mantel and in my bookcase. They had such a magical quality about them. Super cute! Check them out!
I just LOVE these!!! Soooooooooo CUTE!!! 0:D
I'd put the tiny little treasure my grandchildren give me under the domes.
What a lovely way to display memories of loved ones. We often tuck things in drawers instead of out where we would see them more often. A beautiful and protected way to showcase those special items!
