The Gothic Elegance spread has been one of my FAVORITE since first glance at the Fall '11 catalog. Even though I love Halloween, I've never been much for Halloween decor since it isn't usually so stylish and elegant for an easy transition into non-holiday decor. I was so excited to see the blog entry showing how to create the look, and I'll definitely incorporate the Eclipse Platter into a spook-tacular holiday display then work it into my day-to-day decor following that!
What a beautiful platter, a great addition to bring some color to the table.
I would love to use it on Halloween for special treats for my Grandchildren and a couple close friends. Last year, I made them bloody cupcakes - cherry cake batter with raspberry jam inside and thin red licorice pieces on top of pink frosting to look like veins!
Great for all those Halloween treats! Can also see it being used to display the beautiful new Sara Blaine jewelry. And at Christmas for cookies and other goodies!
I would fill it with green moss- white pumpkins and black spiders! Elegant Halloween!
GOTHIC ELEGANCE.......that's all I have to say. Love it!!!
I love to take my children on nature walks...gathering colorful fall leaves, acorns, goldenrods, wild flowers, and interesting tree branches. Fall is such a magical time. We love decorating pumpkins and baking mini pumpkin bread loaves with cream cheese frosting, topped with candy corn. This eclipse bowl would be perfect to display all these fall traditions..autumn leaves, tiny pumpkins, and fresh baked mini bread loaves!
The Eclipse Platter is just so perfect for the Fall Holidays. I love the idea of using it to hold my mini pupkins and some fall leaves as a centerpeice for my table.
MMMMMMM...Fall is here! What could be more wonderful than some warm cornbread muffins made fresh and served in this wonderful Eclipse Serving Platter. Just finished making some homemade vegetable soup to serve with it! Ya'll come!
The Eclipse Platter is just so perfect for the Fall Holidays! I love the idea of using it to hold my mini pumpkins and mix in some Fall leaves as a centerpeice for my table.
I would do some great contrast with this eclipse platter. I make halloween cupcakes for the kids with bright orange icing & a white ghost peep! I think they would just POP off of the platter.
What a beautiful platter! I can picture it now on my buffet with my delicious caprese salad. Thanks for the opportunity :)
I love the color and shape of this platter - I would use it to hold homemade rolls at dinner and it can hold candles and gourds when not in use. I would even lend it to my WH consultant so she could display her new bracelets on it for parties!
I would love to put this piece on my dinner table at Thanksgiving! My husband will be gone for a month before so it's going to be an extra special Turkey Day this year and this platter would help make my dinner spectacular!
I would love to see this on my Thanksgiving table!! It is beautiful and stylish. It would jazz up any table during any season. Please, please, pick me!!! This is one piece I still don't own. :)
I would use this beautiful piece as an accent tray on my coffee table this fall with many gords and pumkins displayed in it!
I love Halloween and I think the eclipse platter display in the Fall catalog will be a great inpiration for my own Halloween decorations.
It's just lovely, Please choose me!!!
There are just so many opportunities to showcase this piece. I would use this on my buffet to serve irresistible treats: caramel apples for Halloween, pumpkin bread for Thanksgiving, cookies for Christmas, chocolates for Valentines, and the list goes on. Gosh, I haven't even started on the decorating aspects....
The eclipse tray would look beautiful with some simple Indian corn and a few small votives.
The eclipse tray would look beautiful with some simple Indian corn and a few small votives.
With all the special Holiday meals coming up, this is a must have platter to use for either delicious breads or mouth-watering pastries. Add some holiday appropriate decorations such as pics to create that special touch.
I would love to use this platter for a Twilight party, as most of us know Eclipse is one of the book titles, so the name even plays into the theme, love it!
For Oct. I would add a spider web or two and place my Halloween candy to hand out to the kids. Then in Nov. I would fill it with small gords w/two ears of corn and place on kitchen table. Dec. I will place a holiday napkin and serve my fresh baked goodies. This would be one of my favorite piece to add to my collection. It is so versatile. LOVE IT!!!!
Perfect to serve some fall beer bread or other seasonal dishes.
I've put two fall-colored throws over my antique chest/coffee table. Right now, I have a wood tray with a flameless candle in the center. I would replace the tray with the Eclipse Platter, put some river rocks in it and put my flameless candle back in the middle. I would also tuck some orange peel and cloves in amongst the rocks for a great Autumn scent...maybe even a cinnamon pine cone or two?
I would use it a center piece and change it with the seasons/holidays. It is beautiful!
I would use it a center piece and change it with the seasons/holidays. It is beautiful!
I my rustic bathroom with a woodsy/pine large jar candle in the center with pine tips and shaped soaps. I think I'll add a small moose statue for a bit of wimsy! :) Love this piece.
Loves this platter would use when bbq perfect size to put the grilled meat on then bring right to the table
The Eclipse Serving Platter would be a great way to display my cinnamon apple roll ups that I always make in the Fall and especially on Halloween night for our family. This would be such a beautiful way to show them off.
Love this platter! I would fill it with all the natural elements of Fall and use it to decorate my dining table.....
Mac n Cheese.... Oh yeah.
I would love to win this just in time to serve dinner rolls for Thanksgiving to may family! It's lovely to use for a centerpiece!
Its childish, but I would fill mine with Candy Corn! We love candy corn at Halloween! This is a beautiful platter!
Much to the dismay of my children, I DON'T decorate for Halloween because I'm not into cheap plastic stuff! I throw out a few pumpkins and gourds, put some candy corn and indian corn in my Galveston Hurricanes, and call it good. I could so totally see myself using ideas from your Gothic Elegance spread, but I'm missing the Eclipse Platter, and boy do I need it! (ahem?)
Beautiful and goes with any style decor :)
Cinnamon rolls, pumpkin muffins, or candy corn...or maybe all of the above!
I love this piece...I usually keep fresh fruit in it...but have heard a lot of great ideas to try
I would fill it with those beautiful white pumpkins and some green and yellow goards for a nice fall arrangement. You could change the display every week and at Christmas fill it with the shiny ornaments that Willow House sells.
I would keep our Halloween candy in it!
I will fill it with popcorn balls!
I can just picture this beautiful piece with lots of Halloween decorated cookies, fudge and cupcakes. Then I'd use it for Thanksgiving to serve my special breads. I'd later use it to display my Sara Blaine jewelry!
With fall in the air, I would fill it with multi-colored leaves and pumpkins/gourds.
The Eclipse Platter is a perfect addition for the fall. I would love to fill it with all of my childhood favorite snacks that my siblings and I made with my grandmother and then give it to her as a fun/sentimental Halloween gift. My grandmother is 95 years old and loves the holidays very much, but gets depressed without my grandfather here and I would love to cheer her up.
What a gorgeous platter! I can envision serving a pork roast surrounded by roasted vegetable on it, or maybe a pumpkin roll or spaghetti bolognese. The possibilities are endless!
I would use it to put my pumpkin spice muffins in and serve halloween candy out of on halloween night!
This exquisitie platter will be great to use for my Halloween decor or any time of year! So elegant and usable for every day or special occasions!!
I love that you can transform this platter season to season. It would also transition easily with the serving pieces I already have!
We'd bake batches of warm, gooey, homemade cookies, place small piles of them in cute, individually wrapped cellophane bags, and deliver them to our neighbors by means of this tray. Its functional elegance would most certainly make for many very 'special deliveries!'
I live in Germany right know and the platter is absolutely adorable. It looks like the wood platterns that everyone here are trying to buy at the antique markets. Just in love the with "Elegant Goth" idea.
I just ordered this for my boy's bathroom for a masculine feel. I would LOVE another one to hold a heaping pile of candy corn - my husband's favorite!
I would put the demibottle trio on it with some new Sara Blaine jewelry wrapped around them surrounded by some yummy Halloween candy to entice people to come to the table at a vendor event!
The Eclipse Platter would look yummy with fresh sliced pumpkin bread!
I love the earthy-elegance of the glaze. I would use this platter more decoratively than for serving, but for special occasion desserts, this would be perfect - a tray of nut rolls at the holidays.
Love this platter... Very versitile..
Perfect for an elegant spread, like Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas dinner. The design is unique and very beautiful. Thanks for the opportunity to win it.
I would love to have the eclipse platter for my coffee table. I would put a smaller dish with Halloween candy inside; and also use it to set my wine glass on for a relaxing evening.
One thing I love about autumn is the autumn tea that I host every year for all my friends. I would love to use this to serve my homemade scones to some wonderful women I know
Love this piece!
Halloween is my favorite time of the year to decorate and nothing makes it easier than Willow House items...Simply Good Design.
I would love to use this in my little modern apartment. It would just go perfectly with my decor! I would use it to serve starters to guests or even to display fruit. It's so pretty!
Love, Love and Love it!!!! Would go great with our new decor!!!!
OOoo! The parties I would plan with this platter...
ILl use this as a centerpiece to hold fall small pumpkins and leaves!!
Love this platter! I would fill the bottom with either coffee beans or candy corn and then place votives in there to make a centerpiece for my coffee table.
Perfect for filling with seasonal items-seasonal fruit or just decorative seasonal decor!
First! Wow, what a great platter to have. I love all the ideas below. Since I just moved out of the city to a very relaxed life style in the boondocks, I'd love to serve some homemade zuccini bread and pumpkin bread at a small Halloween gathering this year. I can't wait to see this on my Fall Harvest to Thanksgiving tables either!
I would fill this with brightly colored mini gourds and pumpkins and put in the middle of my dining room buffet.
I would serve tailgate chips with a small cup of dip on this! Love it!
This platter would be wonderful to serve my rosemary pork loin on!
I think this would make the perfect servicing tool for a spinach dip bread bowl.
We love trays in our house. They have multiple uses. From showing off cupcakes to holding keys and bills. The Eclipse Platter would look great on my hutch holding my sons favorite snack....Granny Smith Apples! When those are gone we would use it for a spooky Halloween display on our entry way table.
I would use it as a centerpiece on my table.
The Eclipse Serving Platter is a beautiful piece, it's glossy metallic hues are sure to add interest anywhere it is used or displayed. I'd use this to display pumpkins and gourds for the Fall and serve hot rolls/bread for Thanksgiving dinner.
What a beautiful tray! I bake bread almost every day, and I must confess, I would want to keep this for myself to serve my warm bread... :-)
This gorgeous platter looks perfect for weekend morning Pumpkin muffins, game-day sliders and appetizers, and crusty rolls and cornbread muffins to go alongside a bowl of warm soup or chili all season long. Of course, it could also be a catch-all for the Halloween candy at the end of the month!
I'll be serving up homemade pumpkin spice cookies this fall (so easy and SO tasty), and they would look even better in this platter! It's beautiful!
This has been on my wish list for a long time! I'd use it for Halloween filled with mini pumpkins on my table (and probably some candy too)...would also use it to display Sara Blaine jewelry at jewelry parties. I think the neutral color with the irridescent glaze would be perfect to highlight those beautiful jewels! And, like all the other Willow House pieces in my home, I'd probably use it for serving during the holidays...or every day, just to make it special!
This would be great to use for rolls with my thanksgiving dinner. I'm having my brother, who I haven't seen in 12 years... And his children who I've never met, coming to dinner. It's going to be a very special Thanksgiving, with a lot to be thankful for!!!
This is my first time seeing this! I love it. Perfect to display fall items and use at Thanksgiving.
I am going to make carmel apples for our Halloween party I would love to display them on this beautiful platter. What a great way to present a yummy dessert.
This is one of the most beautiful platters I have seen. I would use it in October for a fall display and at Christmas, I would place ornaments and greenery in it. It would also be one I would choose first when serving tea breads.
this is absolutely one of my favorite WH pieces! I would love to have it in my entryway on a table for mail!
It's amazing what uses I can think of after you bring notice to a WH piece. This platter would go great with my everyday, Thanksgiving and Christmas dishes. Would love to add it to my collections.
This would be great for us because we're hosting Thanksgiving at our house for the first time this year!
Filled with warm cinnamon apple bread! And after the meal, put back on a stand as a buffet display piece. No need to store this platter away in a cabinet! :)
First I would spray paint mini gourds and pumpkins in metallic spray paint colors like silver, bronze and gold. They would look amazing arranged in this platter and set on my dining room table
I am using mine to showcase my new Sara Blaine jewelry line by putting tiny crushed shells in a portion of the platter and putting my rings standing up in it and some neclaces. So now I need one to serve appetizers on!
After using it for a great gothic anchor, it would be helpful as a handsome clutter catcher on my hubby's dresser. It's big enough to hold his charging iPhone, wallet, keys, change, and all those business cards he brings home.
I'd be serving pumpkin/walnut rolls and maple short-bread cookies.
I purchased the Fable Pitcher, Suger & Creamer from the Willow House Outlet and I can only imagine how the Eclispe Serving platter will complement the arrangement
I would use this for my fav pumpkin spice muffins and take them to work to share with my coworkers and clients!
Love this platter! It's so tasteful and elegant, and would be perfect for serving a nice, hot savory roast on a crisp fall evening for the perfect "comfort food" dinner. Or, set out munchies in style at a football gathering with friend. Either way, I want this on my table!
I love the carmel apple idea! And can think of so many other uses for this amazing tray! Thank you for the giveaway!

The Eclipse Serving Platter is beautiful and is part of my favorite photo in the Fall 2011 Catalog & I absolutely LOVE the fact that the look is easy to create! How gorgeous would it be decorated for Thanksgiving with a Cornucopia or as a serving dish! It has such a rich warm color those ambers and browns would really pop!
I would fill it with rice and display my Sara Blaine jewelry in it at jewelry parties. I also would use it to serve Halloween candy & treats.
I would love to brighten it up with some great fall leaves and candles. Then and some sparkle at Chirstmas time with special decorations and greenry.
I'm moving soon and the packing has started. Since everything will be in boxes for a while, I'd use that serving bowl for all my serving needs.
This platter will look wonderful as my table centerpiece, holding cute baby pumpkins the kids decorated.
This is super cute....would be pretty holding treats for the trick or treaters!
I would love this piece on my entry hall table to corral keys, mail, etc when coming into the house. I could put a mini pumpkin on it now, and change the pumpkin to reflect the holiday; ie, small turkey, Christmas ornament etc .

I would use it as a serving dish for Thanksgiving.
Beautiful platter! I love it!
This is a beautiful tray it would be look great on my dinning room table with little pumpkins, gords and fall leaves.
I would use it to serve Apple-Cinnamon Bun Dip. For a unique dip container and lovely accent to the Eclipse Serving Platter I would cut off the top and hollow out a large red apple. Stand it upright on the Eclipse Serving Platter, fill it with dip and then surround with Nilla wafers. To have good food AND GREAT DECOR - what more could anyone want?!

My family loves bread with every meal from crescent rolls to French loaves. This would dress-up the table from the simple basket that we use.
Since it's not foodsafe, I would place it in the center of the kitchen island and keep all of the clutter in it, creating the illusion that I am organized - nothing better than dressed up clutter.

I would love to put this platter on the table in front of my family at dinner time filled with my spaghetti with garlic toast covered in my homemade bruschetta all around the edges!!
I think I could do serve a cornish hen with some wild rice around it; use it to hold ornaments for Christmas; use it as a catch all for mail and/or keys. I could also place some fall leaves on it, and use some cute little pumpkins and/or gourds (real or synthetic) for fall decor; serve popcorn on it during a movie/game night; use it to house disposable napkins for restrooms...sooo many uses! This is why I LOVE Willow House!!
My sister in law loves my platter and I'd love to give her one so that she can decorate it for fall.
OMG. Would use this to style my SB Jewelry and to decorate for Fall. Love the rich color with fall colors.
Such a gorgeous and versatile platter! This would be great to serve yummy pumpkin-spiced french toast for Sunday brunch!
I would use the platter to serve pork loin, roasts and breads. For decorating I would use it on my maple hutch with assorted pumpkins.
I love this. My bread bowl was brokeninour move, and I've not replaced it. This one is gorgeous, and it couldn't be broken by movers or kids!
Perfect for holding banana bread on a brunch buffet!
I would like to enter... This is BEAUTIFUL!
Is it too late to enter? This product is lovely!
This platter is deep enough to put a fall mum arrangement in. Keep it low by using a metal needle holder. Add a few mini pumpkins and you're good to go for that quick dinner with family or friends.
Apples, oranges, grapefruit and all other seasonal fruit will invite everyone who walks into your kitchen to partake in this absolutely stunning platter.
I am about to move into my first home with my fiance, and I would love to use this platter to serve the first real dinner I make in the new kitchen. :)
Looove this platter!!! I would so love to use it this upcoming holiday season to hold my favorite sweet potato casserole!!
