We will be grilling up chicken breasts, steaks, pork chops, and steak burgers while visiting my Army husband who is stationed five hours away. I ordered the food and had it shipped to him packed in dry ice! As I am a new WH Design Consultant, he will be trying our two Sangria mixes for the first time!

I like to make things easy on the 4th so that I can enjoy the day with family and friends. Make ahead salads, desserts, fruit and vegetable trays; lots of 'small bite' kind of items, so that my guests can eat throughout the day inbetween swimming and visiting! Love the polka dots and colors in this apron! Wearing an apron always reminds me of my grandmother, which in turn,always makes me smile!

We're having neighborhood friends over so I'll be making all sorts of party food - my favorite thing to cook. I'll be trying some recipes I've gotten from my hostesses recently, like a pineapple cheeseball and a blush sangria. Also on the menu, fruit skewers, a flag cake, vidalia onion cheese dip, and baked brie, among other things. Can you tell I like cheese??? This apron will keep me clean and stylish as I prepare.

My world famous Baked Potato Salad! For anyone interested. You cube about 5 large potatos. Toss them in EVOO and fresh minced garlic then bake them until tender. While they are baking, prepare the sauce. In a large mixing bowl, mix 2 cups sour cream with 1 cup whipped cream cheese, fresh chopped scallions, and one packadge of real bacon bits. Once potatos have cooled, toss with the sauce, salt and pepper to tast... and garnish with green onions! Enjoy!

I love this ruffled apron and have it on my wish list. We have a big party at the end of our street where everyone brings their favorite dish. Years ago my husband started taking a case of our host's favorite beer. (We do not even drink beer!) I'll be making a Flag Cake, which I've made for years, and first got the recipe from Martha Stewart Living. It's a vanilla half sheet cake with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream on top decorated like a flag. Serving that while wearing this apron would be so cool!

As a newleywed, I love this apron! As a bride to be, I put this on my wish list. Although I received many lovely wedding gifts, this apron was not one of them.
