Win These Plates! Prop Closet Tuesday
posted by Carrie on | 194 Comments - Post a comment
We're glad you loved the gift ideas Melanie shared yesterday. Here's your chance to win the plates she mentions as a gift idea! For your chance to win a set of these plates, just leave a comment on this post and let us know how youd use them.

We love our Portico Accent Plates. They're an ideal size for parties, they coordinate with Christmas and Valentine's Day colors without being locked into those seasons, and they're oven-safe up to 350˚. They come in a set of four with a different, coordinating design on each plate. How fun! A chocolate brown ring around each plate helps tie the set together.

To see if you've won, check out our Facebook page — we'll announce the winner there tomorrow morning. Remember to share the love and let your friends know about the giveaway! We'll give you all a new chance to win every week. And if you're not contest sort, you can always order these plates from a Willow House Design Consultant!

I'd display the Portico Accent Plates in shadow boxes and mount them over my bed. My new winter bedding is a contemporary quilted design reminiscent of those plates.
I might bake double chocolate, chocolate chunk cookies and pile them on the lovely Portico plates. The brown in the cookies would bring out the brown on the edges and the red would shine through. Then I'd wrap them in plastic and tie with a satiny red bow and deliver as teacher gifts or to anyone that either makes our lives brighter or needs an extra bit of gooey goodness. Plus they get to keep the plate! My other idea is to display the Portico plates standing up, maybe on the rustic shelf on special clearance right now and make little holiday figures that match (maybe out of clay)and place them in front of the plate so the red, white and brown are a backdrop. I'd have a rudolph, Santa, Mrs. Santa and an elf. I think that would be super cute for the holiday. Thanks so much.
Its probably just me, but from the photo, I see the potential for playing tic tac toe on the plates. My son and I would have fun using the left over mini peanut butter cups from halloween and mini pretzels to play. Winner gets to eat the treats! I love your ideas too!
the plates are lovely. I can already see them displayed on my plate rack when not in use. AND a candy cane cupcake being served on one!
I love, love, love these plates! I would use them to hang between my stockings on my mantel. They are beautiful with the jolly stocking that you have!
The color is perfect for the holiday season especially with our jolly holiday stockings. I would use the set for my family of four on our mantel. Each plate would have a letter to spell N-O-E-L. I would use the vinyl rub on letters and hang stockings below.
On Christmas Eve, my kids bake cookies for Santa and each of them puts a plate of them in their room. Then my husband dresses as Santa and drops stockings off on the end of the kids' beds and munches the cookies. These plates would be perfect for Santa cookies - so festive - and each child could easily identify "their" plate of Santa cookies!
I can see them being used at a holiday party as appetizer plates coordinating with Cinnebar pieces and Roxy Reindeer!
Beautiful and festive. Perfect for Christmas. I would use them as serving dishes for tiny treats!
What's not to love about these plates? Their bold graphic design makes them so much fun. I think they would be great mixed in with some solid white dishes on a table decorated for Christmas. You can't go wrong with a classic red & white theme. After Christmas they could be used as art on the wall too!
These are so fun! We are in the process of doing a simple redeco in our kitchen/living room and these would be perfect accent items! What fun!
I LOVE these plates and would use them for my Christmas cookie making party with my girlfriends. These would go great with the Villa mugs. :)
These would make great gifts. I would bake some Holiday goodies and put them on the plates and give them to my neighbors.
I'd pair them with the Cinnabar Collection...they would complement each other beautifully! ~Jenna
These plates are gorgeous! Love the pattern. I have the SL@Home turquoise tuscan tidbit bowls that I would mix and match at my upcoming Iron Bowl party for appetizers.
I would divide them up and give them as gifts w/ Christmas cookies!
Love these! I was just looking at them for teacher gifts the other day and to share at my next party! :)
I would love to display these with red plates but they would also be the perfect backdrop on which to eat a Christmas cookie or cupcake!
red is my color--it symbolizes power and strength, two things i want my kids to feel every day of their lives! i love these plates for a valance space about a doorway that goes between my kitchen and dining room, mainly b/c they work with both rooms! even though they're small plates, their color is so vibrant and patterns so crisp and geometric, they would make a strong visual impact!
These plates are calling Santa's name! Milk and cookies in style!
So cute! I would happily serve appetizers for Holiday cocktail parties, and then would use them mixed with white dishes for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning meals.
I love these plates! I'm thinking I'll make my great-grandmother's italian cookies and make up beautiful gifts for my daughter's teachers. Oh, can I really give these away? I might have to buy some too!
I would give them as a gift. My mother in law loves red, so she would love these! She has a plate hanger in her kitchen that these would fit in, plus I'm sure she would use them at family get togethers.
I love to uses these with my Villa and Verda collection for a great Christmas touch. Plus I am all about being green and using accent plates when I have guest over for snacks and more.
These are so mod looking! I think I would use them as appetizer plates at our holiday party. The difference in style from my dishes would make a nice contrast.
These plates are so fantastic & just screaming for their matching Roxy Reindeer table runner to go with it! On top of the table runner I'd group the Heritage Hurricane Trio filled with different size and shapped peppermints: big tall sticks of peppermint in the middle with layers of round, square and mini peppermints in the hurricane. It would be a gorgeous red-and-white holiday table setting! :)
I would use them at my Christmas party I am hosting this year. They are so cute!
My kitchen is black and white with touches of red. These would be perfect for our Friday night drink and muchies get together with friends. Eating food off of pretty plates make it taste better and these plates would make the food taste great!
Love these! In the spirit of giving, I would like to tell you that I would bake some delicious Chocolate Chunk Cappuccino cookies and pile them high on these plates and present them to some special friends! I did say that I would "like" to do that. I love these beauties so much that I a would be a bit selfish and save them for myself;) I could just see my family enjoying our traditional Christmas morning casserole on these:)
I would love to use these plates as holiday plates. There are only four in our family so this would be a great way to save some money.
These plates are so sweet they cry out for treats. I would give them as gifts to my wonderful neighbors. The kids and I like to bake Christmas cookies together. We would stack the cookies on the plates, tie a red ribbon around clear wrap and deliver them door to door. It's the warmth and bit of magic that I love about the holiday season and our Willow House company!
I want a whole stack of these plates for entertaining!!! I would also love to put them on a sconce behind the candle for some holiday color. They are just too cute!
Red is my accent color in my kitchen and they would look great with m Cinnabar pieces!! I am going to have a House Walk & Cookie Exchange so my customers can see ALL my Willow House product on display throughout my house decorated for the holidays. These plates could be the door prizes (if I can part with them!) and 4 lucky winners can take their plate and fill it with goodies from the Cookie Exchange offerings!!
These are the perfect appetizer or dessert plates for a holiday party!
I would use these as a salad plate on top of my black toile plates for an elegant tablescape for the holidays!
I have the verde accent plates and the terrace accent plates arranged as wall art around a larger while oval platter in my front entry above the most lovely antique french hutch. I would change out the terrace plates for the portico plates during Christmas, Valentine's, Memorial Day and July 4th, then get vinyl lettering to mark the occassion on the white platter. Just in time for Christmas -- I'd letter the platter to say "Get your Merry on!" If you'd like to see a photo of how I have the plates arranged it's posted on my blog buzzinaroundthehive.blogspot.com
I would bake Christmas cookies and put them on the plates, wrap them in cellephane (sp) with lots of Christmas ribbon and a big bow and give them away as Christmas presents to my co-workers. It's super hard if you want to give you co-workers a gift but not make it too expensive. This is perfect. My boyfriend's aunt used to do this for me. She would buy these Christmas plates at Macy's and then give them to all her 'nieces'. They got a different plate each year.
I have a group of 4 girlfriends, and we rotate houses every Christmas for a holiday dinner. I always look for something special for each of them--because of the brown edge, I think these would be great for some good quality chocolate, witwrapped in cellophane, with a note that says "Enjoy a piece of chocolate for sweet dreams at bedtime.". A pound divided between 4 BFF's on these 4 plates would be the perfect gift!
I make this lovely chocolate melting cake dessert and it would look lovely on these plates! I would serve the cakes with vanilla ice cream drizzled with a little hot fudge, of course, to match the brown ring around each plate. Ummm! I can almost taste it!.
I'd use them during holidays, interchanged with other plates in a display over the window in our breakfast room--you know, the room that's also the lunch and supper room!
I loved Melanie's ideas of using them as cookies for Santa plates. I'd love to have them to hang in my dining room for a splash of color.
I would find a pretty green rimmed dinner plate & set a fun holiday table. I have about 20 plus to dinner each Christmas. I have about 3 or 4 tables or areas to eat at. I set each table with a different china. So this would be a great addition and a new fun table for my guest. Plus I can use them again for Valentines day! The possibilities are endless. They even be cute on the 4th of July!
Just in time for Christmas! I would buy a 2 or 2 1/2 inch green or gold ribbon an make two small bows. Then lay a strip of the ribbon on a table (long enough to plae 3 of the 4 plates 3 inches apart on top of the ribbon) hot glue the bows on the end of the ribbons and fill the two outside plates with small ornaments and a small red tea candle. The center plate could have a big red candle.
i love these plates! i would use display these on my plate rack in my kitchen and of course i would eat my holiday sweets on these too...
i think i would hang them...too pretty to just eat off of :)
I love these plates! I would put them on my 3 tiered stand and serve all my holiday desserts on them!
Right down the middle of the Christmas dinner table with large red candles on each of them as a centerpiece!
Use as placecards for a holiday dinner party. Bake mini cakes or Chrismas cookies wrap them in cellophane tied with brown or lime green polka dotted ribbon. Attach a placecard with the guest's name and a holiday greeting. Place these on these beautiful plates and put in the center of a plain red plate and a coordinating charger. Cute!!!
I would use these as appetizer plates for my holiday parties and Christmas dinner. Another use would be to put baked goods on them and give them individually as gifts to my neighbors!
I would use these plates with my Gallery Collection dinner plates for serving brunch during the month of December and/or February for my book club's meeting. They could also be used for a 4th of July Celebration with blue accessories.
RED...The color that POPS! NOt just an added special touch for Christmas season, but Valentines Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day! Oh the color of fun we can add to these darling plates!
I want to share them as gifts with Melanie's santa plate idea. Very cute! I love these plates and could buy multiple sets.
I love them! I will have to hire my mother, the best interior designer, to help me decide on what to do with them.
For tea and cakes of course.
Even though they go so well for Christmas, they are just that pop of red needed in areas that may just need a zing-like in a book case on a small stand.
Although I would want to keep these beautiful plates for myself because my kitchen is RED....I would split them up and give them as gifts. I would choose my favorite cookie recipe and bake them up. Place several cookies on each plate and wrap them up with a big beautiful bow. What a great gift. I know I would love to receive one of these plates with cookies!!
I've been eyeing these plates - they would be perfect as accents on the wall of my powder room. If I win them, I'd probably decorate the entire powder room around these plates, that's how much I love them! Before they go on the wall, they'd definitely be used to highlight some holiday goodies :)
Cookies for Santa
My team and I are using these plates with plate hanger's on our Roxy Reindeer tree we're decorating for a local theatre's festival of trees and to promote JDRF this month. However, I'd love a set of my own to swap out the terrace one's I have hanging in my dining room on the Covington Tray's for the holiday season! Love, love these plates. You can't have enough!
My set of China is basic white with a silver rim, but I like to mix up the accent plates when setting the table, these would be perfect as I like to have sets of 4 that coordinate (so several sets of 4) and can make the table setting unique. I am hosting Christmas this year, these would be prefect on my table and then on display in my china cabinet year round!

I LOVE these plates! I adore this color red, and it goes perfectly with my living room furniture. I am working on creating a wall display with 16-20 of these darlings!
I plan to put them on an iron plate rack that I have in my kitchen for the holidays. It will make a festive Christmas decoration. Later, I'll use them with the Cinnabar Tidbits. They are very colorful and classy.
If I won them I would so want to keep them, but I would give them away as gifts with cookies on them to some families in my church for Christmas.
I would use these to eat on my husband hates our current plates and loves these if you can imagine a guy having an opinion on such a matter! :)
What a fun pattern.
I would attach plate hangers and wire them into my Christmas tree with family member's pictures hanging in front! Love, love, love these plates...perfect to use anytime of the year! Cheers!
I would use these in my dining room as a display.I have curtains in there that have the same colors in them.I just love these plates.
I love these plates and 2 of mine "had an accident"..... I plan to use them with my Villa place settings during the Christmas Holiday and the Italian Stitch and Cinnabar for Valentines!
My 4 year old grandson loves Preschool and he loves his Preschool teachers. These plates are perfect for giving as gifts with delicious baked holiday goodies all wrapped up in clear paper and red ribbon!
The retro art-deco look to these plates remind me of abstract pieces- I would place all four in a single row on our kitchen table with alternating white candles with cranberries and pieces from our Christmas tree surrounding them. So fun!
I think they would look great on a kitchen wall dish display/easel for a festive look for the holidays!
I would use them as decor in my sparsely decorated kitchen. But they would also double as serving dishes for sweet and savory treats!
I absolutely love these plates! I'd probably display them in my family room on my 2 wall shelves. Or I'd place them on my Jamestown Tray with some cookies & candy canes on the side!
ahh...I would USE these plates with all the Cinnebar collection items that I have earned and purchased thru my favorite WH person...Dede Scheel!
I work with Toys for Tots, and would love to display them piled the cookies we give out for our local night of lights festival...they are a perfect complement to the spirit of the season and the work we do. Happy Holidays!
I would use these plates for Snickerdoodle Cookies. I'd wrap the plate and cookies in cellophane with a bow on top and place in a basket with one of our Roxy Reindeer Accent Towels rolled up and tied with a ribbon and a Christmas DVD or CD. The perfect gift for each of our 4 girls to open on Christmas Eve and a great gift for anyone!
I would eat food off of these plates and talk about how cute they are over dinner. Pretty & functional.
These are gorgeous! I would have my friends over and have tea and scones! Red is my favorite color.
I'm a red freak and LOVE these plates! I'll hang them on the tiles around my fireplace...just as soon as I figure out how to do that!
These plates would make perfect cookie plates for Santa Clause. Me and my two daughter would bake the cookies together and wrap them up beautifully so we can send them to nana and mamaw's house because Santa will need cookies at everyones house. This will ace to be our new family tradition I love Christmas.
I would use them for a special Christmas breakfast.
My Dream Cakes would look mighty pretty on these plates that match my kitchen decor so well!
These plates are perfect for our Christmas morning breakfast. One for each member of my family.
I love these plates. I would use them in my kitchen as decorations.
These are so amazing!!! I love them hanging on the wall in the kitchen! The bold graphic pattern is just wonderful!!!
We entertain a lot at my house during the Holiday season and there are certain ladies(my aunts, my grandmother, etc.) who always show up early and stay late to help us get the house in order and take care of the last minute details. I would fill each of these plates with some of their favorite cookies and a thank-you note per person as a nice way to let them know how much I appreciate their Holiday help!
I would put them on my floating shelves in my living room. They would be perfect with my red and chocolate theme.
I would use these individually throughout my house (bathrooms, guest bath, etc) with a square nautilus vase on each filled with a small arrangement of red and white carnations with a little green accent in each arrangement.
This contest gave me an idea I think I will do this year. I am going to invite a few friends that have had a tough time this year over for a fun afternoon of baking Christmas Cookies together. I can hear the laughter now! Then I will surprise each or them with a plate to put their cookies on and handmade card thanking them for inspiring me and for just being who they are!
I love to give all the ladies at our family Christmas a little gift from me that is about all my favorite things I've found while shopping that year. My idea for these gorgeous Portico Accent Plates would be to place a little bottle of my favorite bubble bath, a small bottle of my favorite wine with a cool, girly wine glass & this awesome body lotion I found. I would tie it up beautifully with a modern patterned mylar wrap & shimmery chartruese bow. And, of course, one of the beautiful Southern Living Christmas ornaments handing from the bow! WA LA...4 gifts...and oh, so beautiful!
These are Outstanding, Cheerful, Beautiful Plates Share them!!(Portico Accent Plates) I'm one to think as other's as an Individual first off hand. So each Christmas or Valentines Day I would place a mug and a pack of Starbucks Coffee, some mint and marshmellows for the kid that still laid's within. For if you don't give of yourself frist it's very hard to take the time to give to other's.All need their special comfort zone time. Finish it off with a Pretty wrap for the Occasion a lil ribbon with a Lil note attached pointing out how they themselves have touched other's.
I love love love these plates! I would use them to serve Holiday appetizers on for my family. Also prop them up on plate holders to showcase in my Christmas displays! You can split them up as teacher gifts w/a special mug & hot chocolate!!
I would display these on my wall. They are beautiful :)
These are great as hostess gifts! Wrap with a recipe for an easy cheese ball and a cute spreader!!
These are beautiful and would be a welcome addition to Christmas Eve where my family gets together and does "finger" food. They are too pretty to hide away so when not in use I would display them in my china cabinet along with other Christmas decorations...and then soon will be Valentine's day :)
These plates are just gorgeous! They are the perfect size for just about anything. Willow House is new to my family and I just love their products. This would be a great start to my collection!!!
I love these plates! I'm so excited about using them with my new Chalkboard chargers and placemats. They are going to be great to use for the Christmas Cookie Party for my son with the Chalkboard placemats. The kids can draw all around the placemat, while the dish will make the perfect Christmas accent for the cookies. Kids won't notice, but the other mom's will. Then in February they will look great on the Chalkboard chargers as the salad plates for my Valentine's brunch. Also thinking I might use them as accents above the mantel for Christmas.
I would use these for my family brunch on Christmas day. I would fill them with breads, muffins, fruit, and other yummy things!
Oh I love these!!! Absolutely love them! This Christmas I would use them over and over to serve yummies on and then I'd prob hang them on my wall! Love them!
I love these plates. I would use it with appetizer, with beautiful candles on my Christmas table. After all I see them displayed on my walls.
I LOVE these plates and would LOVE to win these.
Oops...I missed part of it! I would love to have these plates to use as part of my Christmas table setting!!!
I would use these as my family's "Santa" plates. Each year my children make sugar cookies for Santa and present them on a holiday plate for Santa to take back to Mrs. Claus. My children spend all day painstakingly making cookies and are delighted the next morning when the cookies and the plate are gone with a note from Santa about the tasty cookies and the beautiful plate. My children still wonder if Mrs. Claus uses the plates they give her each year. These are beautiful display pieces in addition to great presents for Mrs. Claus.
Plates are perfect for serving thick slices of hot apple pie made from kissed green apples.
These are simply beautiful plates and I would use them everyday to perk up breakfast and lunch. But for holidays, such as Christmas, I would stand three of them upright, placing/standing a star fish in front of each plate then adding small framed family photos, seashells and Christmas greenery. I have the perfect place for staging it in my breakfast room on a black chest-on-chest. I would use the remaining plate for cookies or appetizers.
When my 11 year old daughter saw these said that we have to use them to serve Santa his cookies and leave food for the reindeers! I would use them throughout the holiday season - not just for the special holiday dinner. They are too cute to use just once!!!

When my 11 year old daughter saw these plates she asked if we use the plate to leave Santa his cookies and the reindeer some food! I on the other hand would use them throughout the holiday season because they are beautiful and should be used everyday and not just for a special holiday dinner!!!

I love that each one is a slightly different pattern and they coordinate beautifully with the Willow House Cinnabar accent plates. I alternate them on my serving table for desserts. Looking forwad to pairing them with the green (Verde)accent plates for a Christmas tablescape!
These are too pretty to keep to ourselves!! Every year I bake mini White Chocolate-Frangelico Cheesecakes and give as gifts to neighbors and friends. These are the perfect size for those cakes! They will look beautiful with poofy cellophane cinched above and tied with a big red bow. As a final touch I'll tie a copy of the recipe on the package, written on a festive card!
I would bake up some Christmas goodies. Place them on the plates and wrap it up. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Another great idea is to have the children make their annual gingerbread houses on them. What a beautiful display base for a yummy and fun treat!!!

LOVE these plates! The colors and designs are perfect! I have another business making cake bites & give these beautiful plates to my daughter's preschool teachers, dance teachers, and Sunday school teachers with some chocolate mint cake bites!
Perfect for a holiday dinner atop beautiful white porcelain plates with a vintage red mercury ornament used as a place card. Line up hurricane vases filled with cranberries and white candles in the center of the table and add tealights for a magical holiday table!
cookies for santa and the reindeer
I would use them Christmas morning wth my family to enjoy my Grandma's homemade banana bread on! A cheerful addition to a great tradition!
I would love to secure these plates inside wreaths as the center and then accent the plate design and color with holly and garland on the wreath itself. Imagine hanging that on your door or on a mirror in your home for the holidays! How fun!
I'd hang them vertically on the wall with a large lime green satin bow at the top and a long piece of the same ribbon running down behind each plate so that they would seem to be hanging from the ribbon. What a beautiful decoration for my dining room during the holidays. I could also change the ribbon to a light pink and hang them for Valentine's Day!
I love these plates. I would use them on top of my white porcelian plate, with candy canes & ribbon on my napkins. Santa claus in he middle as a center piece for the table and I am set for Christmas brunch.
I absolutely LOVE these plates!! They would go perfect with my tidbits in serving dessert to my friends for a girls night! I would also love to hang these on my kitchen wall with the Covington Accent Trays and some pretty ribbon. I'm not willing to part with them but you could break them up and put a beautiful candle in the middle and wrap them up for holiday gifts for your neighbors. =) Or as my neighbors request, fill them with goodies instead. I would love to have these!!!
I would use them as treats for Santa plates or as plates for holiday goodies. They could also be displayed on the wall with your favorite holiday photo placed on the front of them. So cute.
I could use these plates for entertainingy friends during a simple gathering with close friends. Thanks for the chance to win.
I have my own mobile Spa Business with BeautiControl and these would looke fabulous with our new Chocolate Indulgence line on it!!
I might use them to dress up simple, small evergreen wreaths - hang a plate with wide ribbon from the top of each wreath so the plate covers the center of the wreath. And before the Christmas season, I'd use them for tailgating and football gatherings. They're the perfect colors after all (Roll Tide!).
I would bake Christmas cookies and give them to neighbors on these plates!
Christmas brunch! Or cookies for Santa :)
I would layer these plates on top of the leather stitch small plates in the two tiered stand with the square leather stitch platter under and use it on the buffet table layered with appitizers
I'm a real mixy matchy kind of girl, so I love the idea of mixing and matching these with my existing Fiesta dishes just to give them some pop. Don't ask me to break the set up and give them away! I'm selfish!
I would use these plates just as they are - plain and simple is elegant. These plates, a great dessert and great friends would be the perfect trio.
I have these and love them so much that I need more! Right now I have them on some built in bookcases propped up in these cute clear acrylic stands. The pattern adds some much needed interest to some blah boring bookcases. And the red, oh, that just makes it. Red makes everything more fun. And the variety of the patterns on each plate, double the fun!
Kids should have nice plates to use also the month of Dec. and Feb. So I would set up a kids table with them.
I always seem to be hosting a meeting at my home and I hate using paper plates. I love that these are the same size as the Terrace App Plates, so you can mix and match them. With the holidays, the red and green combo is perfect!
I LOVE these plates! I use them on my table as part of the place setting. After Christmas, I would not pack them away, they would be great dessert plates and another great accent on the table for Valentine's Day. If I could part with them, I would put Christmas cookies on them as use them as gifts.
I would use them as decorative plates for holidays - hanging them above a buffet or in an entryway, perhaps with ribbon of corresponding holiday colors (green, pink, blue). Because red and white are so versatile, I would use these for several holiday gatherings - Christmas, Valentine's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, etc. I think a great way to make these more festive would be to decoupage solid colored shapes to the middle of each, depending on the holiday. For example - a green Christmas tree, reindeer, snowflake... a red heart or cupid... a blue star or firecracker.
i would use them with the tidbits i just got in. i'm going to making the dessert for thanksgiving and these would be perfect to put a slice of chocolate cake on.
I love that red and off white color of these plates are so versatile. They go with just about every color and you can use these year round.
I love these plates! I think this will be perfectly served as appetizer plates for a Holiday get-together. I like them in combination with the Roxy Reindeer plates - changing out every other one. Or combining them with the terrace appetizer plates too! So cute!!! And I can't wait to dish up some excellent recipes on them! Perfect for Apple pie!
Would use these in my kitchen, as the color scheme can handle any color/pattern. In the middle of changing schemes, and need a new color to coordinate with the dinner plates, cups, mugs, etc.
I layered mine on top of Cinnabar appetizer plates and nestled them in plate hangers on the wall of my black and white kitchen, very nice accent.
I would fill them with my home made peanut butter bon bons wrap them in cellophane tied up at the top with ribbons and one of the wirework trio ornaments
I would hang them on the wall with big red ribbon and tie big bows at the top of them maybe add some ornaments at the top of the ribbon!!
Oops I sent before I finished my above comment and I would take them to various people who have touched my life throughout the year
I would use the plates with my Roxy the Reindeer table linens and my fabulous brown Italian stitch dishes to really add some pop and use some natural brown accents in the center of the table and throw in some sparkly ribbon and gold jingle bells to add some whimsical holiday flair!

Plain & Simple, I heart these! I would hang them in my kitchen for a great punch of color!

I would use these beautiful plates EVERYDAY!! I would find uses for them just to have them out! Serve homemade baked goods in the kitchen,in the bathroom with soaps,in my room to put my jewerly and hair accessories,on a plate stand in the living room! I found a use for EVERY room in the house! I LOVE these plates and would get the best use out of them!!
I love the Portico Accent Plates and would love to use them during the holidays for serving that special holiday dessert! They would, also, be great to put various homemade goodies on and wrap with cellophane and tie up with a ribbon and give for gifts. The red accent would be a nice pop of color to any setting, year round!
I would love to use these with the Iyalian Stich dinner plates. I would use the portico plates as salad plates on top of the dinnerplates. I love the red and brown together.
I love dishes and have a few different sets that these would make a stunning tribute to a table. Since Willow House is new to my area, I would also be one of the first to entertain with them. Happy and safe holidays to all...
I display them on a horizontal plate rack in my kitchen with the Villa Stoneware dinner plates behind them. Add fresh cut evergreen sprigs, ribbon and ornaments across the bottom of the plate rack for holiday flair!
Ohhh --- I can see a BIG piece of Hot Molten Chocoloate Decadent Cake sitting in the middle of this plate with chocolate fudge icing drizzled over the top!
I have an accent wall in my dinning room this color. I would use as a display on the wall. I would also use these as luncheon plates when I have parties.
Love these! I would display them all year as they would match my kitchen colors and then at Christmas and Valentines I would use them as part of my dinnerware.
Oh,,these are soo pretty! I would use them for everyday plates, because I have a red dining room and these would match so nicely with the decor and my dishes! :) Oh,I want these badly! lol ksceviour@hotmail.com

I would hang these plates in my kitchen! Every room needs a splash of red! These would be beautiful to use year round.
I LOVE these plates and their uniqueness!! I layer them with the cinnabar tidbits.
I would really like to win a set of these plates.. I would definitely use them for Valentines Day and Christmas get togethers! I enjoy making tablescapes festive! I hope I win!
My mother just loves bright and cheerful dishes. She's 86 and lives alone with some health issues. I would give them to her so that she could smile each time she made her lunch. Now that would be somthing that would brighten both of our days.
I need these plates for our supper club, which I'm hosting this month!! These would be great for appetizers - so festive and would put everyone in the holiday spirit!
Every year, I begin filling a notebook with ways I'll decorate each room of my home for Christmas - and these plates will look fantastic in a wall hung plate rack with greenery woven in and around them! In the off season, they'll make a colorful addition to any setting.
I would use them as teacher's gifts. Load them up with Christmas goodies-homemade fudge, cookies and other treats. Hook me up with them! We just made a three hour move and I havent found a job yet which has our Christmas budget tight. These would much help on my pocketbook if i won them!
I would layer these plates on top of my white So. Living Dinner Plates with the Willow House Cinnebar Tidbits on top.
Red and apple green are my Christmas accent colors...these plates coordinate perfectly! Using wire plate hangers, I would hang 3 plates about 5 feet up on the wall, at 24-30" intervals, on top of a 4 ft length of 2-3" wide apple green luxe ribbon; just above each plate would be a soft bow and a pair of silver bells hanging from thin coordinating ribbon. Using coordinating solid green matte cardstock, i would cut out a 4" circle for each plate. In large scrolling sparkling silver letters I would write "Tis" "the" "Season" . One circle to be taped to each plate (the bells and bow would just overlap). The long ribbons become my holiday card display. Usually I hang all our beautiful photo cards from ribbons and have been looking for something to make that wall really pop. These plates provide enough graphic impact to stand out among all the beautiful smiles!
I would use about 10 of them overlapping each other in a random shape on the wall as a plate collage art piece. I would probably add a solid dark brown dish mixed in sporadically to break up all the pattern....
Plan to use these plates as hostess gifts...with a cheese ball and a Gallery collection spreader or homemade cookies and attach the cookie recipe.
I would place one in front of a Mario salad plate in front of the Grammercy Ribbon Plate trimmed with fun holiday ribbon; put it on my mantle in a stand along with other WH products for a festive holiday look.
My mom and I are the only ones who eat pumpkin pie, but every year we still make it, even if it is only for us. We have decided, why wait?. If it is only us eating it, why do we wait until thanksgiving? So beginning last year and continued this year, we make pumpkin pies all of November, she comes over and we talk over pie and coffee. I would definitely be serving the pumpkin pie on these plates during our special mother/daughter time, if I won!
Love these as teacher gifts!!! We usually spend a day making Christmas Cookies and the kids get to pick out 3 or 4 cookies for their teacher! We put them on the plates and wrap the plate up with green or red wrap and tie it all up with a pretty ribbon. Makes a great gift and you have enough for 4 teachers or for a neighbor or two!
I would pair these plates with my Italian Brown Stitch and add Roxy the Reindeer linens to dress up the table. I'd also throw in some natural brown twigs and pine cones to bring the outdoors inside and finish the table off with some sparkly ribbon and golf jingle bells or some holiday whimsical flair!
These plates are awesome- great for that Christmas party and for serving desserts- or for a great wall display-- Beautiful!!!
I would use these with the Villa stoneware. I think they are so adorable that I would use them as accent plates all year long. Every room needs red, right?! They would be great during the holidays with a fresh desert, or even a crisp spring salad in the summer time with dinner. If I had them now I would use layer them on top of the Villa stoneware dinner plates, along with red napkin wrapped silverware to decorate my kitchen table with. I like seeing the kitchen table ready for a nice warm home cooked meal, so inviting to have it all ready for company.
These plates would make any dessert look extra special. They would also make great appetizer plates at a party or mix and match with the villa stoneware.
Wouldn't hide them in a cabinet, that's for sure. I love to layer them with my Villa Stoneware. But I think I would fill them with cookies and give them away for the holidays! Wrapped in a reindeer cloth. They'd also be a wonderful addition to any young girl's tea party/luncheon for either Christmas or Valentine's day. Hang them on a way with bright red or creamy brown (from the edge of the plate) ribbon. No matter how they're used, they should be the star because they're beautiful.
I would use these every chance I got. and i would MAKE these "chances" often! I can see them going with the obvious Christmas decor but I would use them year round for any event.
AW man!! I just realized I was soooo LATE for this one! Congratulations to Jamie!
I would use them for Christms and Valentines Day and everything in between! On V-Day, layer them on white eyelet doilies with sweet heart napkins and Cinnebar tidbits on top, filled with white "good-n-plenties" or conversation heart candies. For Christmas, I would layer them with brown on wall or table for rustic sopisticated look topped with live greenery & red berry strands, tied with brown ribbon.
Love these plates! These are the colors I'm going to use in my new house! I used to sell SLAH and I still love the products!
